In the world of college planning, paying, and saving, there’s a lot of information out there for families to consume. MEFA is proud to be a leader in producing content to help guide students and families through the entire journey of planning for college and career. We do that through our webinars, seminars, website, social posts, and one-on-one expert meetings. And in the past few years we’ve done so through another avenue: the MEFA Podcast.
As the producer of the MEFA Podcast, I can speak to the breadth and depth of information and guidance shared on each episode. Listeners hear informative conversations, up-to-date news and guidance, and the answers to questions asked by families planning for the future. Though I have years of experience in helping students plan for college and career, I can say that, as I sit in the background of each podcast episode, I have been able to learn even more. Whether the topic is divorced parents traversing the financial aid process, students preparing for life after high school, or families wanting to open up an Attainable® account, I can honestly say I come away knowing more.
The MEFA Podcast is hosted by MEFA’s Associate Director of College Planning and Content Creation Jonathan Hughes and co-hosted by MEFA’s Director of College Planning, Education and Training Julie Shields-Rutyna. Every other week, MEFA brings you a 30-40-minute episode related to some aspect of planning for the future, whether it be focused on different ways to save for education expenses, tips for the college admissions process, what to know about financial aid offers, or how Attainable®, our disability savings plan, works. Jonathan interviews key leaders in the field who bring their experience and expertise to the show. Previous guests include members of the Brookings Institution, a CEO of a career association, a college president, high school students, and plenty of subject matter experts in all fields related to college and career planning.
We already have more than 50 episodes out of the MEFA Podcast that are ready for listening. Feel free to go back and catch up on previous topics or follow us now to get ready for some unbelievable content.
