As the school year begins, now’s a great time for students to apply for some college scholarships. We found five opportunities below that all have deadlines in the upcoming fall semester, so it’s perfect timing for students to review scholarship details and complete requirements. There’s something for all kinds of students, whether they enjoy books, culinary arts, or cars. Prizes top out at $25,000. Review the entire list below.

Atlas Shrugged Scholarship

How to Apply: Write an essay between 800 and 1,600 words responding to the prompt related to the book Atlas Shrugged.
Eligibility: Open to high school students, college undergraduates, and graduate students
Amount: First place of $25,000 with additional prizes between $1,000 and $3,000
Deadline: September 20, 2024

CJ Pony Parts Scholarship

How to Apply: Create a video of no more than 3 minutes on one of five topics related to Mustangs and automotives.
Eligibility: Open to U.S. residents who will be enrolling in postsecondary education in the next semester
Amount:  $500
Deadline: October 15, 2024

Khai Perry All-Star Memorial Scholarship

How to Apply: Write an essay between 400 and 600 words on obstacles or challenges you have experienced in your life that have hindered you from reaching your goals, and how this scholarship would assist you.
Eligibility: Open to low-income, underrepresented minority high school, trade school, undergraduate, or graduate students who are Massachusetts residents
Amount:  2 winners of $500 each
Deadline: November 15, 2024

WebstaurantStore Foodservice and Hospitality Scholarship

How to Apply: Write a 500-word essay describing how you became interested in a culinary arts or hospitality career and what you hope to bring to the industry.
Eligibility: Must be enrolled full time or part time, or plan to be enrolled, in a college or culinary arts school majoring in culinary arts, hospitality management, or a closely related field with either a GPA of 2.5 or higher or 2 years of work experience in the restaurant/hospitality industry
Amount:  $5,000
Deadline: December 1, 2024

Brooklyn Injury Attorney’s Scholarship

How to Apply: Submit an essay of no more than 1,500 words on the role and effectiveness of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) in addressing the complexities of slip and fall cases, examining its benefits, challenges, and ethical considerations.
Eligibility: Open to undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in a U.S. college program interested in or seeking a law degree
Amount:  $500
Deadline: December 31, 2024
