MEFA/Private Loans
The MEFA Loan, one option if you plan to take a private loan, offers competitive interest rates, no application or origination fees, fixed monthly payments, multiple repayment options, and an easy application process. Payment Plans
Most colleges offer payment plans that allow you to pay your college bill over several months. Payment plans usually require a one-time fee but are often interest-free. Check with the college’s financial aid office for more details.
Federal PLUS Loan
If you received a Federal PLUS Loan on your financial aid offer, consider it as merely a suggestion from the financial aid office. Your parent will still need to apply for this loan and pass a credit check to borrow any amount. The PLUS Loan origination fee and interest rate may be higher than other private loans.
Paying the College Bill
