Women in STEM Scholarship

How to Apply: Write an essay of 1,000 words or less detailing why you are passionate about science, technology, engineering, or math, and how your pursuit of these fields will help preserve biodiversity, improve the health of our planet, or alleviate human suffering
Eligibility: Open to persons who identify as female and are graduate or undergraduate students enrolling or continuing in STEM fields of study at accredited universities
Amount: $1,000

El Café Del Futuro Scholarship

How to Apply: Write an essay of 800 words or less describing how your Latino heritage, family, and the community in which you grew up have impacted your desire and motivation to obtain a college degree. Additionally, describe what you intend to accomplish with your degree and how you will give back to your community
Eligibility: Open to full-time undergraduate or graduate students of Latino descent currently enrolled at a HACU-member institution within the United States, D.C., or Puerto Rico
Amount: $5,000

Financial Empowerment Scholarship

How to Apply: Complete the application and create a 30–60-second video explaining the importance of financial empowerment in your life and career
Eligibility: Must be a U.S. citizen attending an accredited university with at least a 3.0 GPA

Minecraft Scholarship

How to Apply: Write an essay of at least 500 words on how Minecraft can be a positive influence on education and career development
Eligibility: Must be a U.S. high school or college student with at least a 3.0 GPA
Amount: $2,000

Platt Family Essay Contest

How to Apply: Write an essay between 1,500 and 5,000 words answering the question, "2023 is the 160th anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation. Does Abraham Lincoln deserve the title of 'The Great Emancipator'? Why or why not?"
Eligibility: Open to full-time students attending a U.S. college or university during the Spring 2023 semester
Amount: Awards range from $1,500 to $500

Flavor of the Month Scholarship

How to Apply: Write a 250-words-or-less essay on what ice cream flavor you would be and why
Eligibility: Must be 14 years of age or older, a legal U.S. resident, and currently enrolled (or enrolled no later than the fall of 2028) in an accredited postsecondary institution of higher education
Amount: $1,500

Avonte Oquendo Memorial Scholarship

How to Apply: Write a 500–1,000-word essay on one of the three topics related to autism and overcoming obstacles
Eligibility: Either you or a close family member has been diagnosed with a form of autism, including Asperger syndrome; applicant must be enrolled or accepted at an accredited college, university, or vocational school
Amount: $5,000

Gen and Kelly Tanabe Scholarship

How to Apply: Complete the application form, including a 250-word statement on why you're worthy of the scholarship's prize money or your career and academic goals
Eligibility: Open to all high school, college, and graduate students who are legal residents of the U.S.

Pittsburgh Injury Lawyers Scholarship

How to Apply: Write an essay of no more than 1,500 words on if ride share companies should be held liable for any misconduct from their drivers, or incidents that happen to their drivers
Eligibility: Open to undergraduate students wishing to go to law school sometime in the future and current graduate/law students. All applicants must be actively enrolled in a U.S. undergraduate, graduate, or law school program.
