The seven scholarships below are all designed for STEM students, and each one offers a winning prize that can help pay for college costs. SAE SmartMobility Evolution Scholarship
How to Apply: Complete the application, including two letters of recommendation that focus on academics and extracurricular activities or employment that reflect your commitment to inspire youth to explore and pursue STEM education and careers.
Eligibility: Open to incoming freshmen with at least a 3.75 GPA and college upperclassmen (incoming sophomore, junior, senior, and graduate students) with at least a 3.5 GPA who are pursuing a degree in software engineering, electronics, electrical, mechatronics, or a similarly related engineering degree through attending a U.S. ABET-accredited program
Amount: At least 3 winners will receive $5,000 each

2026 Writing Contest: The Art of Engineering
How to Apply: Submit an application using the engineering design process, including artwork that features at least three ways engineers create a better world and a written artist’s statement that explains how the artwork demonstrates that contribution.
Eligibility: Open to individual students, no matter their background or identity, in the following three competition categories: elementary grades 3–5, middle school grades 6–8, and high school grades 9–12
Amount: Winners in each grade category will receive $1,000 for first-place, $750 for second, and $500 for third

GeneTex Scholarship
How to Apply: Complete the application, including transcripts, and write an essay of 500 words or less on what made you want to pursue a STEM major.
Eligibility: Must be a current college or graduate student majoring in a STEM field

Code Breakers & Changemakers Scholarship
How to Apply: Complete the application, including a headshot and an essay of 400−600 words that describes your passion for STEM, books that have impacted your goals, your vision for how your future career will have a meaningful impact in the world, and how this scholarship will equip you.
Eligibility: Open to BIPOC high school seniors with at least a 2.4 GPA who are pursuing a degree in a STEM field
Amount: 2 winners will receive $500 each

AFCEA STEM Teacher Graduate Scholarship
How to Apply: Submit an application, including a transcript and two letters of recommendation, and provide responses to several short-answer questions.
Eligibility: Must be a graduate-level candidate taking at least two semester-equivalent courses per term at an accredited U.S. college or university and majoring in education for the purpose of teaching STEM subjects in a U.S. school in grades K-12 with at least a 3.5 GPA
Amount: $2,500

AFCEA STEM Major Scholarships for Undergraduate Students
How to Apply: Submit one application, including a transcript, one letter of recommendation, and responses to several short-answer questions, to be considered for any of the three AFCEA STEM Major Scholarships for which you are qualified: STEM Major Scholarship, Cyber Security Scholarship, and Student Member Scholarship.
Eligibility: Must be a U.S. citizen enrolled as a sophomore or junior full time in a four-year college or university with at least a 3.0 GPA majoring in a STEM field
Amount: Between $2,500 and $5,000

Tuition Solution Scholarship for STEM Students
How to Apply: Write an essay of no more than 250 words on which area of science, technology, engineering, or math most excites you, and what you have done to explore or pursue that interest.
Eligibility: Must be a current high school, college, or graduate student majoring in, or planning to major in, a STEM field
Amount: $1,000
