If you’re a student studying nursing, or know one who is, we have a list of opportunities that may pique your interest. The ten scholarships below are specifically for nursing students, and each one offers a prize that can help pay for college costs. Creative Biolabs Scholarship

How to Apply: Complete the application, including a current transcript, recommendation letter, and written essay of 800–1,000 words or a PowerPoint of 10–12 pages with detailed lecture notes on one of four topics related to genetics.
Eligibility: Open to female students who plan to pursue a 4-year degree in nursing
Amount: $1,000

Nurses Make a Difference Scholarship

How to Apply: Complete the online application, including an essay, brief biography, and a photo.
Eligibility: Open to U.S. and international students who are enrolled in or have been accepted to an undergraduate nursing program; must also have a GPA of 3.0 or higher

Megan Mills Scholarship

How to Apply: Write an essay between 400 and 600 words describing your Caribbean country of descent, how you plan to make a positive impact on the world through your STEM or medical career, and how have you exemplified resilience and strength in your lived experiences.
Eligibility: Open to women of Caribbean descent who are first or second-generation college students and pursuing four-year degrees in a STEM, pre-medicine, pre-veterinary, or nursing program
Amount: Two winners of $1,000 each

Susan Rita Murray Nursing Scholarship

How to Apply:  Write a short essay between 400 and 600 words describing your reason for pursuing a nursing degree and how you plan to make a positive impact in your community through your medical career.
Eligibility: Must be a woman pursuing a four-year undergraduate degree in nursing with at least a 3.5 GPA
Amount: $1,000

Scrubin Uniforms/AACN Scholarship

How to Apply: Complete an online application, provide demographic information, and submit a short essay.
Eligibility: Must be a current nursing student in an undergraduate or graduate program at an AACN member school with a formal affiliation agreement with Scrubin Uniforms and at least a 3.5 GPA
Amount: $2,500
Deadline: December 1, 2026

Coursey Enterprises Scholarship

How to Apply: Complete the application, including submission of a recent photo of yourself, and write an essay of 200 words or less explaining why you want to become a nurse.
Eligibility: Open to first-year nursing students
Amount: $250

Elizabeth Garde National Scholarship

How to Apply: Complete the application including at least two letters of recommendation
Eligibility: Must be a post-high school student or graduate student seeking a degree in nursing or other medical profession with at least a 3.0 GPA and be a Danish Sisterhood member or the child of a Danish Sisterhood member in good standing for a minimum of one year prior to the application deadline
Amount: $850
Deadline: March 1, 2027

National Black Nurses Association Scholarships

How to Apply:  Complete the application, including an official transcript, two letters of recommendation, and a two-page personal statement.
Eligibility: Must be a member of NBNA and a member of a local chapter (if one exists in your area), must also be currently enrolled in a nursing program (LPN/LVN, ADN, RN-BSN, Generic BSN, Masters, Doctorate) and in good scholastic standing at the time of application with at least one full year of school remaining
Amount: Starting at $1,000
Deadline: March 15, 2027

Jennifer D. Hale Memorial Scholarship

How to Apply: Write an essay between 400 and 600 words answering the questions: “How has your experience as a teen mom impacted your educational journey and your goals for the future? Why did you choose to pursue a career in nursing?”
Eligibility: Open to any high school or undergraduate student who is a teen mom or a former teen mom planning to pursue a nursing degree
Amount: $1,000
Deadline: May 20, 2027

“Caretakers on the Climb” Scholarship for Nursing Students

How to Apply: Complete the application, including an essay of no more than 250 words that addresses the questions: “What sparked your passion for nursing, what are your goals for your nursing career, and how will this scholarship help you achieve those goals?”
Eligibility: Open to U.S. citizens and permanent residents in college or graduate school who are currently enrolled in a nursing program
Amount: $1,000
Deadline: May 31, 2027
