Your School Could Win the FAFSA Challenge
The Massachusetts FAFSA Challenge is heading into its third year as a statewide campaign to increase the number of Massachusetts high school seniors who submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA allows students to apply for federal financial aid, which helps cover the cost of college. The FAFSA Challenge encourages all Massachusetts high schools to have as many of their students as possible complete and submit the FAFSA. MEFA, American Student Assistance (ASA), and the Massachusetts Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (MASFAA) all serve as proud sponsors of this campaign.
Cheer on your high school to encourage as many students as possible to complete the FAFSA, and you may win the Challenge! All high schools located in Massachusetts are eligible to participate.
On May 1, 2020, a $750 college scholarship will be issued to each of the three winning high schools in two categories. Schools will then select a student recipient of their choice to receive the scholarship.
- Highest overall FAFSA completion percentage rate through May 1, 2020 for small (under 250 seniors) & large (over 250 seniors) school
- Most Improved FAFSA completion percentage rate through May 1, 2020 (compared to May 1, 2018)
