As part of our public service outreach, MEFA offers several FREE trainings and events for school counselors throughout the year. These include full-day sessions, webinars and professional conference seminars. 

MEFA As a PDP Provider 

MEFA is registered by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education to provide Professional Development Points (PDP) to school counselors. Read more about our PDP policy.
 

Financial Aid Trainings for School Counselors 

MEFA offers five annual statewide financial aid trainings for Massachusetts high school guidance counselors in December and January to provide financial aid updates, offer helpful tips for advising students and facilitate discussion on recent trends.  All trainings for the 2012-13 academic year have passed, but you can download the training presentation here:
