As part of our public service outreach, MEFA offers several FREE trainings and events for school counselors throughout the year. These include full-day sessions, webinars and professional conference seminars. 


 

MEFA As a PDP Provider 

  

MEFA is registered by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education to provide Professional Development Points (PDP) to school counselors. Read more about our PDP policy.
 

 

 

Financial Aid Trainings for School Counselors 

  

MEFA is offering three statewide financial aid trainings for Massachusetts school  counselors in January 2015 to provide financial aid updates, offer helpful tips for advising students and facilitate discussion on recent trends. Each training is worth 3 PDPs.  Click here to register and select the training you would like to attend.

All trainings are 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. A hot breakfast will be provided.

School Counselor Webinar Series 

  

Earn more PDP Credits! Our annual School Counselor Financial Aid Trainings are supplemented by an ongoing series of webinars that address timely financial aid topics. Each webinar is worth 1 PDP. All webinars begin at 10 AM and last one hour. Earn your PDPs by watching a live or recorded webinar and completing an Evidence of Learning Form for each webinar.
