In the spirit of promoting arts education, MEFA — with support from the Massachusetts Department of Education — sponsors an annual College Savings Art Competition. Massachusetts students in grades 3, 4, and 5 at all public, private, charter, and home-based schools are invited to submit a piece of artwork illustrating "What do I want to be when I graduate from college?"

Submit your entry to the College Savings Art Competition each fall. Winning entries from each grade are awarded a monetary prize made payable to a U.Fund College Investing Plan account. Prizes include:
$5,000 for first place
$2,000 for second place
$1,000 for third place
Sign up for MEFA emails to find out when you can submit entries for our next competition. You’ll also receive tips about saving and planning for college.

Congratulations to winners of the 2009 College Savings Art Competition. Over the years, we’ve received more than 13,000 entries and awarded more than $120,000 in U.Fund College Investing Plan accounts.
